Celebrating Easter with Peeps
I love Easter. The weather is nice and there are new beginnings all around.
A few years back I made (but never posted) these little Easter peep placeholders. They are super easy to make. Paint a small flower pot that you can pick up at craft stores. Then decorate the rim with washi tape and write your guests’ names on a sheet of paper and glue to the flower pot. Fill it with jelly beans. Stick a Peep on a lollipop stick and stick it in the pot. Viola, instant party decor. Pretty sweet, right?
Here’s another one. Stick a Peep through a straw and stick it in a cup that has a sprinkle rim. Kids will go crazy with this. I recommend using honey to make the rim of your cup stick. Simply pour some honey in a bowl and dunk in the rim. Then dunk the cup in a bowl of sprinkles and you get this masterpiece.
I’m in love with this Peep sushi food craft that I made for scholastic.com a few years back. Check out the how-to at scholastic.com.
Then remember this Peep Wreath I also made for Scholastic? Click the for the how-to here.
