Cinco de Mayo Blueberry Margarita Recipes
Hola!
It’s Cinco de Mayo! You know what that means — MARGARITAS!
Here is a recipe that I made for onlinelabels.com that is so tasty and simple to make. Go here for the full tutorial.
Also, it pairs well with a good homemade guacamole and chips. We are corn free in our house, so we use bean chips.
Anyways, back to the margaritas. I wanted to design a margarita that had a fun twist to it. That’s why I picked a blueberry flavor. Blueberries are in season right now and taste so good. They also look great on a skewer.
I designed the labels also with an untraditional design, but I tried to add a graphic Aztec design as the boarder of the label. I think adding a label to your Mason jar margaritas is always a nice touch. It makes your guests smile and also is a great reminder of whose drink is whose.
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups of water
- ¾ cups sugar
- ¾ cups of tequila (I used a gold tequila for this recipe, but honestly, I think I prefer the clear kind. With my description, you can tell, I don’t drink tequila very often.)
- 2 cups of fresh blueberries
- ½ cup lime juice
- 15 fresh mint leaves
- 2″ circle labels from onlinelabels.com
