As a mom, it’s inevitable, you’re going to get a pasta necklace from your child sometime in your life. With love, you always place the macaroni necklace around your neck and your child beams with pride. The catch is you always take it off before you head out to pick up some last minute forgotten ingredient at the grocery store. Don’t be ashamed. We’ve all done it.
Here is a fun pasta necklace idea that you (and your kids) won’t mind wearing.
Recently, I designed this fox necklace for Momtastic.com. (Click here for the complete instructions.)
- Penne pasta
- White glue
- Sharpie marker
- Craft glue
- Paint brush
Step 1. Paint the pasta with your paint brush. Let dry.
Step 2: Glue the pasta together. Let dry.
Step 3. Draw a fox face with a Sharpie marker.
Step 4: Hang with yarn.
Adorable, don’t you think.
To be honest, after I made these, Kai wore one around downtown Orlando as he went Poke hunting one night. I was in shock. Best part, it actually held up and didn’t break. I was totally impressed.
