Years ago when I was the Lifestyle Editor for Parenting magazine, I created this oh-so-cute garland for the backyard. It’s so colorful and happy. I need to do it again. I got the idea from Tibetan prayer flags.

Here is a quick how-to:
1: Cut canvas into 8″ x 8″ squares.
2: Paint designs on the squares. Let dry.
3. Use gorilla glue to glue the squares to twine. Let dry.
4. Hang in your backyard.
