DIY Summer Kid-friendly Watermelon-Strawberry Mojito Smoothie + Firework Straw Craft
Next time you entertain this summer, whether it’s for the Fourth of July or a pool party, these Watermelon-Strawberry Mojito Smoothies are sure to cool off your guests.
Ingredients:
- Mint
- Lime juice
- Watermelon
- Strawberries
- Water
Directions:
The amount of each is up to you and your taste. I just throw it all in my nifty Ninja blender and give it a swirl. Serve immediately!
My son Kai is funny. He LOVES mint, but he doesn’t dig in it his smoothie. Oh well. I’m in heaven when I drink these.
Paper Straw Firework Craft:
To make the firework straw craft, all you need are sparkly pipe cleaners, paper straws and scissors. Cut the pipe cleaners so they you have strips of them that are 2″ each. Then connect the strips on the bottom by twisting them. Then slide them into the straw. Make sure the bottom part of the firework isn’t too thick or it won’t fit in the straw. This is a good activity for the kids to do while you’re prepping and blending the smoothie.
