DIY Easy Valentine’s Day Photo Arrow Kid Craft
Kai and I made this easy Valentine’s Day kid craft few years ago (which is why I don’t have photos to go along with the how-to). It’s been sitting on a shelf in the bedroom. I found it the other day and I just had to show you. This craft was so easy to make and would be an adorable grandparent Valentine’s Day gift
Materials needed:
- Glitter yardstick
- Wooden dowel
- Photo of your child
- Scissors
- School glue
- Cello glitter
Instructions:
Step 1. Cut out two 3” heart shapes from your glitter cardstock.
Step 2: Cut out a circle from the center of one of your heart shapes.
Step 3: Cut out the head of your child so it fits inside of the heart’s circle.
Step 4: Glue your photo to the back of the heart. Make sure you can see your child’s head completely. Let dry.
Step 5: Wipe your glue (with your finger or brush) around the wooden dowel.
Step 6: Sprinkle your glitter on your work surface and roll the wooden dowel in the glitter. Cover the dowel completely. Let dry.
Step 7: Place the wooden dowel on the back of the photo and heart. Now glue the second heart to the back of your photo, sandwiching the dowel in between.
Step 8: Cut four half feather shapes from your glitter paper. Two of the feathers should be a little larger than the other two.
Step 9: Glue two of the feathers to the backside of the top of the wooden dowel.
Step 10: Glue the other two feathers to the topside of the wooden dowel. Let dry.
