Election Night Red, White and Blue Cocktail
Here’s a simple, yet festive cocktail recipe just for tonight. Because, you’re going to need it!
I’m so excited about voting. It’s such a privilege and honor. I’m dedicating this vote to my grandmother and my entire female lineage. My grandmother passed away last year and she was a full-fledged democrat. She and my grandfather helped will all of the campaigns over the years. They are the ones who taught me the importance of our democracy. My grandmother would be thrilled to vote for Hillary. She had been a big fan for years. In fact, both my mom and I also have been big supporters. A few years ago for my mom’s birthday, I bought her Hillary’s biography. She has had our vote from the beginning — even in 2008.
I’m so excited about the possibility of breaking the ultimate glass ceiling. I’ve been in meetings with men, where I was considered the little girl and looked down on. I’ve been paid way less then my male counterparts. As a mom of a boy, one of my goals is to teach him the importance of gender equality. No one is better than him and he is no better than anyone else.
So, I know this election is a nail biter. So, I thought it’d be fun to make a “red, white and blue cocktail” that I created for OnlineLabels.com.
The ingredients are simple:
- Blue sugar
- Lollipop sticks

- 1″ OL1025 white circle labels

Make your decorative drink garnish using the labels, blueberries and voting labels.
Decorate the rim of your glasses by placing the rim in a shallow bowl of water and then dipping it into a bowl of blue sugar.
Fill the bottom of your glass with cut strawberries.
Then pour in a mixture of Sprite and vodka.
Then layer in the ice. Add more vodka/Sprite mixture. Layer in the blueberry and add more cocktail mixture.
Add the straws.
