How to Paint and Customize a DIY Door Mat
Check out this fun DIY doormat I designed for ForRent.com. (Click here for a complete tutorial.) Isn’t it a hoot! (LOL!)
It’s actually simple to make. You just need to make your own stencils by printing words and designs that you find online and then cutting it all out using a craft knife. Then you paint within the stencils. I found that white paint stood out a lot better than black paint or colored paint against the brown mat, which I purchased at Target for $10. I used straight pins to hold the stencil in place.
Originally, I wasn’t going to use the owls. I think it looks great with or without. But, my husband thought it needed something.
What do you think??
Also, I just purchased a new lens – 18-55mm for my canon rebel. I think it makes the images so sharp. It also give it the cool blurry effect for the back ground. Now I can mix in between my two lens. I’m still mastering the lens. Sometimes my shots are really, really blurry and I don’t know why yet. If you have any camera tips, pass them my way. xoxo
