DIY Egg Carton Masks
June 9, 2015 No Comments
Not sure what to do with your child this summer? Keep ’em busy with fun creative crafts to make together with things you have around the house.
Here is one that your kids can use to pretend to be birds.
Supplies needed:
- Egg carton
- Card stock or construction paper
- Paint brush
- Craft paint
- Yarn
- Scissors
- Glue dots
- Hole puncher
- Craft punches (optional)
Instructions:
Step 1: Cut off a portion of a cardboard egg carton. Do it so it looks like it has a nose and eyes.
Step 2: Paint your mask. I painted two coats of white as the base and then decorated with other colors. Let dry between the coats.
Step 3: Cut feather and circle shapes from your card stock or construction paper.
Step 4: Punch a hole on each side of the mask. Then tie a piece of yarn (size depends on your child’s head) to the holes.
Step 5: Use glue dots to stick the paper feathers onto the masks.
