DIY Felt Valentine’s Day Envelopes for Cards
After each school Valentine’s Day party, my son Kai comes home with loads of sweet treats and adorable Valentines. The problem is that we have no where to keep them. Sure you don’t want to keep them all. Just one the ones from your BFFs. Also, in my family, we make Valentine’s Day cards for each other.
So, this year, I made us some felt envelopes to store all of our Valentine’s Day cards in.
Check out thestir.com for the complete how-to.
I was surprised about how simple they were to make.
Here is what you need:
- 2 Sheets of extra long stiff felt
- Scissors
- Rickrack
- Glue
- Button
- Elastic
- Needle
- Felt heart stickers
Basically, you create an envelope out of felt, sew on a button and some elastic, decorate with hearts and rick rack and you’re ready to rock and roll.
I love how I made them look like envelopes sent in the mail. I love the little felt stamp I made and how I made the rick rack look like the addresses. Adorable!
